Hi hello! I’m up early. Good. Busy day, busy day! I will be flying from here to there, there to here, until the Celebration of Barry begins! Must rise and shine, me and you!

Oh, I’ve already risen, yes. Time to shine! Let’s see, let’s see, what to do first?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, of course! First on my to-do list is eat breakfast! Can’t have a wonderful, wonderful day without breakfast! Why, without it, I might as well be a nymph or even a toad, as if there’s a difference. Oh my, no offense, Barry!

Barry, can you believe him? Just croaking around getting slime and warts all over my maple floors! I mean, you let a toad stay with you ONE NIGHT and next thing you know, your kitchen table has been transformed into a toadstool! Right in the middle of the room! No wonder such frustration flashes through my mind as I side-step his goo on the way to my tea pot!

Before Barry set up shop, my morning routine involved floating gracefully into my sun-drenched kitchen, putting on some water for tea, and flitting around while whipping together crepes and fresh maple syrup. Yum-eeeee! And then once everything was made, I would enjoy my morning sitting out among that branches and leaves with my sweets. Gosh, that always made for the perfect start of the day! Now that Barry’s here, though, I’m having trouble staying POSITIVE, and in my line of work, positivity is an absolute must!

I do appreciate Barry, though. If Veronica never hopped out of his life, he never would have ended up on my stump, and I never would have found my true calling: party planning—specifically singles party planning. Single and not quite ready to mingle? Call me, Faye, and I’ll send love your way! Did you like that? That’s the slogan for my business. If tonight goes well, then the day is mine! My business, Faye’s Happy Days, will fly high!

But tonight as to work first. I’ve got to find love for Barry! I’ve got to throw the perfect party. And I will! Sorry, Barry, about my grumpiness! My maple syrup has restored the natural order of things and I am thinking POSITIVE again!

Now that I’ve had my tea and crepes, I can move onto phase two: DECORATING! I’m so glad that I’ve chosen to have the party in the clearing next to my tree. Besides being close to home, it’s an easy commute and I’m already quite familiar with the neighborhood!

For example, I plan on sprinkling dust to make a twinkling lights affect from tulip stem to tulip stem, and I know that beetle Becky won’t let me within an INCH of her impeccable violet tulip! It’s no matter—I’ll just make sure that the dancefloor is far from her buggy ears!

Yes, yes, yes, yes, the sprinkling of the dust has gone off without a hitch! Now, I’ve worked very hard for the past three nights on my daffodil petal lanterns. I’m planning on floating them amidst the dust. The big and the small mixed together will look so magical! I’m telling you, it will truly be an atmosphere of ROMANCE! If Barry doesn’t find love under the stars and the soft glow of the lights, then I’ll turn my wings in right then and there!

So, so, so, next up: the AMBIENCE! I’ve got the location, the lights, and the magic! Now, I’ve got to ensure that the Celebration of Barry smells and sounds absolutely fantastical. I’m going to disperse lilacs and rosewater throughout the venue. Take a whiff from any vantage point, and you’ll be positively swimming in a sea of love. As for the music? Girl, I’ve got it handled! I’ve got a few songbirds on retainer. They’ve agreed to croon the night away.

Location, lights, magic, scents and sounds. What’s next? Am I missing anything? Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! FOOD AND DRINK! Not to worry: I’ve got champagne, berries, and maple candies from my own reserves. Everything sweet, everything light, everything love. Right?

Now, I can’t stand around talking to you anymore! It’s showtime! The sun is setting and my magic is twinkling and the guests will be arriving shortly!

Love and kisses for all from Faye! Let the Celebration of Barry commence!
